Military documents of various kinds, most of them dealing with the administration of the Tuscan ground forces. There are a number of estimates concerning the raising of troops, including the costs of various units according to nationality. A number of documents deal with the raising of troops for service in Bohemia (1620) and in the Monferrato (1617). Documents relating to the raising of a German regiment, with notes by Giovanni de'Medici. A few documents dating to the mid sixteenth century concern the war against Siena. Various military treatises, starting from around 1580, including one by Bonaiuto Lorini and another by Giulio Savorgnan. A mathematical treatise of the beginning of the seventeenth century. A number of letters sent by various officers to the granduke, offering their services (1629-1633). A few documents at the end deal with shipping of armor to Ferrara.
